Cloud Putty, Puffi & Cotton Candy
You may know this soft, fluffy sensory putty through products such as Puffi by OG Slimes, ZURU OOSH Cotton Candy, or names such as Cotton Candy Cloud. We use Cloud Putty to describe this product category.
For brands and retailers, we manufacture Cloud Putty with custom colors, optional fragrance and private-label packaging. Start with the texture you want, then confirm the details with a sample.
Brand names and individual formulations vary. The ingredient and boron-free information below describes our Cloud Putty.
OUR FORMULATION
What is Cloud Putty made of?
Base materials
Silicone resin and hollow glass microspheres.
Color & fragrance
Food-grade coloring, with fragrance available as an option.
Optional additives
Polyisobutylene and potato starch can be added, but they are not the primary ingredients in our formulation.
Water-free. Boron-free.
Our Cloud Putty contains no water, boron, borax or boric acid. Food-grade coloring refers to the colorant; the finished product is not edible.

Cloud Putty vs. Cloud Slime
Both are soft, fluffy and easy to stretch into strands. The difference is the sensation: Cloud Putty feels like dry cotton, while Cloud Slime creates the characteristic drizzle.

Different checks used different materials or mixed-color samples; mixed-sample results are not measurements for each individual color. Is Puffi the same type of product as Cloud Putty?
Puffi, ZURU OOSH Cotton Candy and products called Cotton Candy Cloud belong to the fluffy putty category described here as Cloud Putty. Product names, formulas and specifications can vary by brand.
What is Puffi made of?
OG Slimes lists polyisobutylene, potato starch and pigment as Puffi’s main ingredients. Our Cloud Putty uses a different stated formulation: silicone resin and hollow glass microspheres, with food-grade coloring and optional fragrance. See the Puffi product information for that brand’s description.
Who manufactures Puffi?
OG Slimes says it works with a manufacturer to produce Puffi, but does not identify the factory in its public product FAQ. For your own brand, we provide Cloud Putty OEM development and manufacturing.
Does your Cloud Putty contain boron, borax or boric acid?
No. Our Cloud Putty contains no boron, borax or boric acid. This statement applies to our Cloud Putty formulation, not to other brands’ products.
Does Cloud Putty drizzle or dry out like Cloud Slime?
Our Cloud Putty has a dry, cotton-like feel and stretches into strands without a drizzle effect. It contains no water to evaporate. Our water-based Cloud Slime produces the drizzle effect and can dry out as it loses moisture.
Can you manufacture cotton candy-style putty for my brand?
